100 is Hiring a Remote Purchasing Manager

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager acts as the liaison between Operations/Logistics and suppliers. This role is responsible for purchasing functions associated with product line management and Drop Shipment ordering. The Purchasing Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations related to Purchasing, as well as provide data-driven analytical support and knowledge into the management and long-term prioritization of the Company's purchasing needs and opportunities. This position requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the basic knowledge of Excel, operating systems, and data management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The main essential functions of the job are as follows:

1. Purchasing

  • Secure line list, shipping information & timing for purchasing projects
  • Assess & proof products, line lists and ordering requirements
  • Develop and implement recommendations for supply chain management optimization 
  • Set up and secure meetings with cross functional partners and suppliers 
  • Ensure that projects meet deadlines and escalate issues that may impact successful implementation
  • Processing & streamlining the transition of Sales Orders to Purchase Orders
  • Provide forecasts, thought leadership & recommendations for continuous improvements with the purchasing process
  • Properly manage Drop Ship Purchase Orders
  • Billing Drop Ship Purchase Orders
  • Organizing the delivery of Drop Ship purchase orders
  • Maintain a good and fair relationship with our suppliers
  • Check that the ready-to-ship quantities are in accordance with the orders
  • Assist with Global logistics reporting , scheduling, and planning

2. Analytics & Inventory Management

  • Improve the Company’s forecasting for one time buys and replenishment product
  • Summarizing data to share with cross-functional teams,
  • Ensuring sales orders are in Netsuite in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining and distributing monthly reporting
  • Monitor demand and analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
  • Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress and procedural efficiency
  • Create new reporting to share with cross-functional teams to help make more informative decisions

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and evaluative skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well without constant direction
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office
  • Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP
  • Intellectual curiosity to enjoy problem solving and ask the right questions to arrive at an insight
  • Experience managing inventory, utilizing purchasing systems, and applying pricing strategies.
  • Creating purchasing and procurement policies
  • Understanding contracts and contract negotiations
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience preferred

Physical Demands:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, Adjusting or moving objects up to 10 pounds in all directions.

Travel Required: Yes, as needed

Education and Experience:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent procurement experience or certifications.

Pay Range: $80,000 to $120,000 USD annually. This position is classified as an exempt position and not eligible for overtime.

Please note: The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
