SUMMARY

This key position is responsible for the operation of all warehouse equipment, machinery and maintenance personnel. The individual will ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment, perform scheduled preventative maintenance as planned; perform production equipment changeovers; troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems when needed; maintain proper records for maintenance, inventory of parts, and emergency repairs; ensure good housekeeping habits related to maintenance; train on equipment; and share ideas and other problems with the team.

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop staff for future opportunities by providing constructive feedback and writing and conducting performance reviews.
• Develop training materials and procedures for department.

• Collaborate with operations teams to provide the level of service needed
• Work with vendors and suppliers for preventative maintenace, troubleshooting and new equipment installation when applicable
• Ensure production and warehouse equipment are running safely and efficiently
• Impacts retention by fostering a respectful team environment that supports workplace values through professional communication and timely problem solving.
• Develop plans with action items to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department
• Manage daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure adequate coverage while meeting budgetary goals.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure SQF requirements are being met for machinery and equipment.
• Maintain department facility, training and regulatory logs and reports
• Assist in interviewing candidates as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with outside and inside partners at all levels of the organization
• Assists in maintaining the security of the facility
• Other duties/ projects as assigned.
