Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients, monitor their conditions, and administer treatments as needed. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the ICU
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret results
- Utilize aseptic technique during procedures such as catheterization
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Assist with behavioral health interventions as needed
- Participate in the dialysis process for patients requiring renal support
- Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions

Skills:
- Valid RN license in NJ
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in an ICU setting
- Proficiency in pediatric care within an ICU environment
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center protocols and procedures
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Ability to perform procedures using aseptic technique
- Competence in catheterization procedures
- Basic life support certification required; advanced cardiac life support certification preferred
- Experience with electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Knowledge of behavioral health interventions in an ICU setting
- Ability to provide dialysis support for patients requiring renal care
- Proficiency in acute pain management techniques
