Job Overview

Environmental Design Group is seeking a motivated and technically driven Designer to assist engineers and landscape architects in the development of construction plans for trails, roadways, sidewalks, and active transportation projects.

As a Technical Production Designer at Environmental Design Group, you will:

* Actively engage in assigned projects including reviewing project specifications to ensure complete and accurate drawings and documentation; traveling to project sites; and creating detailed drawings and maps using CAD software; collaborating with the project manager to prepare project reports and plans.

* Coordinate printing and assembly of specification books, binding of reports, and production of final plans and exhibits for in-house review, clients, and government agencies.

* Demonstrate a solid grasp of the skill set, and exercise sound professional judgment.

* Provide clear and concise documentation of all project activities and quantities.

* Review and check detailed drawings and layouts in support of the QA/QC process.

* Perform field activities, as needed.

* Adhere to all quality and safety protocols.

* Make recommendations and demonstrate analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

* Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned for the organization's best interest.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Associate or Technical Degree is required; Bachelors Degree is preferred

* 2-5 Years of experience is required

* Basic communication and interpersonal skills are required

* Must be analytical and creative-minded

* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry software

* Experience in trail and/or multi-modal transportation, or the motivation to learn this specialty, is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position that has the availability to be hybrid.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day.

* Must have a valid drivers license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Companys standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.

Supervisor Responsibility
