Our company is seeking a Part-Time self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to process invoices and expenses in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company regulations. The ideal candidate for this position must reside in Kentucky or Tennessee, is organized, efficient and detail-oriented. We're looking for someone who will work well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements and follow up on any discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor files, including W-9 forms, payment terms, and contact information.
• Process weekly check runs.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end close processes as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including aging reports, and other ad hoc reports as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
• Answer questions from various departments within the firm.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (SAGE Intaact preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability and willingness to keep and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
