Employer Services Corporation is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Amherst, NY
As Employer Services Corporation is in growth mode, we are proactively recruiting for an Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist provides advice and support to business owners and managers as well as administrative and technical assistance to the EVP of Human Resources, HR Director, HR Manager and HR Business Partners of ESC.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists the HR team with day-to-day activities and projects regarding labor law compliance, development and facilitation of training seminars, and other related duties.
- Conducts research on a variety of HR-related topics.
- Handles the unemployment insurance claims process, including completing forms, updating databases, contacting customers and the DOL as necessary, and acting as the company representative at hearings.
- Offers human resources support and assistance to all customers in all areas of Human Resources through phone calls, e-mail, and on-site visits.
- Manages employee relations issues and conducts investigations in support of corporate ethics and values and in accordance with labor laws.
- Assists in developing and/or modifying HR seminars in the form of PowerPoint or Word documents.
- Assisting with internal recruitment as needed.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field including courses in human resources management.
- A minimum of 2 years of similar experience.
- Knowledge of standard HR concepts, practices, and compliance.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Highly developed organizational and follow-up skills.

Please note, the salary range listed is below the NYS minimum as dependent on exemption status, compensation may be the hourly equivalent.
