The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission is Hiring an Event Rental Program Office Assistant Near Wheaton, MD
Brookside Gardens, a Montgomery Parks facility, seeks a seasonal employee to assist with the private events and rentals office at the Gardens. The position is year-round. We seek an energetic person who enjoys being outside, interacting with people, and who has an outstanding work ethic with great attention to detail. The preferred applicant will have basic knowledge of how an event runs and experience working a variety of events, as well as be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. On the job training will also be provided as necessary.

Answers event inquiries from a selection of lead generating sites such as WeddingWire, Here Comes the Guide, and ZOLA
Answers email inquiries
Answers phone calls and replies to voicemail messages.
Leads private event tours.
Creates and maintains contracts and files.
Routine contact with clients including scheduling and sending emails and payment reminders.
Tracks the entire lifecycle of an event to ensure all processes are executed in a timely manner.
Regularly works events on weekends and evenings.
Additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Primarily works inside. Must be able to stand for a duration. Works independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. This position is schedule to work two weekends per month. This position is for 30 hours a week, occasionally flexing for events.
