Glen Gery is hiring!! We are looking for motivated, and reliable Kiln Attendant/Laborer to Monitor kiln and dryer operations, including entrance and exit of kiln cars. Experience with manufacturing is ideal!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of green and fired product quality requirements.
• Ability to keep and record quality records.
• Ability to respond to plant alarms.
• Basic understanding of the drying and burning process.
• Understanding and use of the plant monitoring software and equipment.
• Working knowledge of production facility and process.
• Understanding of the safety concerns associated with the position.
• Ability to operate manual transmission. (Operate dump truck)
• Good attendance and reliability record.
• Ability to work overtime with little or no advanced notice.

Responsibilities:

• Read work instructions related to the position.
• Perform plant cleanup in assigned areas.
• Provide security for the plant during overnight hours.
• Monitor kiln and dryer operations, including entrance and exit of kiln cars.
• Work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and weekends as assigned.
• Participate in the quality and safety system.
• Follow additional directives of plant supervision.
• All other duties as assigned.

Training Requirements:

• Must become or be certified to operate forklifts.
• Proper training forms upon qualification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
