Glen Gery is Hiring an Electrical Technician 2nd Shift Near Pittsburgh, PA

Glen-Gery's Pittsburgh Plant has a new position for a Electrical Technician with experience working in an industrial environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a long term career and develop your skills and experience with onsite training and support.

This position will offer excellent earning opportunities and available overtime.

Position Summary

This is a hand’s on job, which includes both mechanical and electrical skills As the Electrical Technician you will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels, motors, hydraulic pneumatic, be adept at installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining PLC and/or computer controlled production equipment and controls to include Modicon and Allen Bradley equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • read prints, diagrams, schematics, programs and operating instructions and have a record of dependability and outstanding job attendance
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors
  • Troubleshooting maintaining and installing electrical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in electrical technology or comparable degree from an accredited school or college
  • Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and/or computer-controlled production equipment a plus
  • 1 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read and understand complex program and equipment manuals with a moderate degree of comprehension and accuracy
  • Possess experience in AC/DC motor control.
