METALICO is Hiring a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) Near Pittsburgh, PA
Work Hours:
- Monday – Friday (40 hours/week).
- 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
- Overtime required to meet business demands.
Essential Job Functions:
- Knowledgeable in basic hand tools and proper use.
- Knowledgeable of the proper inspection, removal, installation, and alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, conveyors, and chains.
- Must be willing and able to work with heavy equipment when needed.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, and pumps.
- Perform assignments in a timely manner.
- Must have proper tools to work in an industrial environment.
- Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively to team members as well as non-maintenance personnel.
- Learn and work in accordance with company procedures and policies, as well as safety and environmental rules and guidelines.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Minimum 2-3 years maintenance experience, preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude and math skills.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
- Strong analytical skills and theoretical background in mechanical systems.
- Industrial mill, crushing, or mining, experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent written, organization, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Some computer skills are required.
- Ability to weld preferred.
