BMW of Tigard is looking for a Parts Manager to join their team!
What will you do?
Coach, motivate and nurture the parts team to ensure a high performing, collaborative team
Supervise, coach, counsel, and objectively evaluate employees and their performance
Offer and ensure that the store offers the highest level of customer service
Return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory
Develop and maintain proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising
Promote parts standards for superior customer, employee, and dealership management
Work with manufacturer and obtain required parts metrics to optimize all parts bonuses
Utilize knowledge of basic accounting procedures / transactions
Interact with and motivate parts employees and parts / service related employees
Communicate with customers, manufacturer representatives, and vendors
What are we looking for?
High School diploma or GED; College degree preferred and 5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of dealership parts experience in various aspects of the parts department which may include some or all of the following : Shipping / receiving, Parts counter sales, (Wholesale, retail or shop) Assistant manager or similar related work;
working knowledge of car repair and customer engagement. Experienced in parts principles, concepts and department operations.
Ability to work independently, devise new or modify existing methods, techniques and procedures to meet parts requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to explain parts concepts, process or ideas to parts employees and dealership management
A leader who can coach and motivate a parts team and nurture a string team culture
Someone who can function successfully within a dealership management team
Target compensation is $140,000 - $145,000 / year (depending on experience)
