As a Lab Supervisor at Mercy Hospital Bakersfield in Bakersfield, California, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of the laboratory for our 194-bed hospital located in the heart of downtown. You will contribute to the development of annual goals, objectives and departmental budget while actively facilitating the achievement of the goals and objectives and the ongoing evaluation of results.
Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs, the needs of your patient care team, or the needs of your facility. You'll advocate for your team as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with our operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your laboratory.
