The Cost Specialist works closely with the proposal teams indeveloping cost proposals and budgeting for new business efforts in compliancewith solicitation requirements. The Cost Specialist works under the generalsupervision of the Sr Advisor, Cost and Pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in pricing, budgeting, and preparation of cost proposals for select capture and proposal efforts.
• Prepare supporting documentation for proposal submissions, including budget narratives and financial information.
• In collaboration with the Sr Advisor, design budget and cost proposal templates for different types of cost proposals.
• Provides support to proposal teams and leadership to assist in the development of winning proposals.
• Helps analyze financial impact of proposed terms and conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, international affairs, finance, accounting, economics, or related with 2-3 years of experience required. Master’s degree preferred
• 2-3 years of professional experience in cost proposal development required.
• Experience working in an international development consulting firm that serves the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and other similar donors preferred.
• Familiarity with USAID regulations and policies (includingAIDAR and FAR regulations)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and ona team in a culturally diverse environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonalskills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects
• High level proficiency in MS Office Applications, experience using Adobe and other graphic design programs.
