The Coordinatorwillprovidesupportforprojectsfromimplementationthroughcloseout.This individual willsupport a varied portfolio of projects around the world and will work under theguidanceofaSenior SpecialistorManagertoundertakevariousfinancial,contractual, management, and technicalassistance tasks. This includes the application of current U.S. and hostcountryregulationsandlawsaswellasIDGpoliciesandprocedurestocontractimplementation.The ProjectCoordinatorwillbeexpectedtoreviewandprocessmonthlyfieldofficeexpensesaccurately, draft client approval requests, assist in formatting andcopy-editing client deliverables and other projectdocuments,liaisewithandsupportfieldofficeoperationsandfinancestaff,assistwithbudget monitoring and financialmanagement, book and manage travel logistics for employees and consultants(airfare, hotels, ground transportation, etc.), and engage in other duties asassigned.
The Coordinator will also participate in new business initiativesand under the guidance of a Proposal Manager and the Business DevelopmentManager will serve in numerous supporting roles forproposalteams,includingservingasaproposalcoordinatorand/orengaginginoneormoreofthefollowingareas:pastperformancewriteups,corporatecapabilities,resume formatting,expatriateand localpersonnel recruitment, technical writing support, technical research, costproposal support, and managing communications with potential and selectedsubcontractors. The Coordinator will also be expected to engage inpre-RFP capture activities and research and support other ad hoc new businessactivities as requested.
Qualifications:
·A minimum of one year ofinternational development project work experience required; previous projectcoordinationexperienceaplus(operations,logistics,administrativesupport, etc.).
·Technical interest and/orbackground (including academic coursework) in IDG areas of expertise stronglypreferred: private sector development, international trade, monitoring andevaluation, public financial management, gender and social inclusion, economics,etc. (see IDG's website for all technical areas).
·FamiliaritywithUSAID-fundedprojectsisaplus.
·ProficiencyinMSOfficeespeciallyWordandExcel;strongExcelandquantitativeskills preferred.
·Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskillswithdemonstratedattentiontodetail.
·Goodinterpersonalskills,abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofa team.
·Strongorganizationand prioritizationskills.
·Entrepreneurialattituderequiredtoassistbusinessandsystemsgrowth.
·Experiencelivingorworkingindevelopingcountriesaplus.
·Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required: internationaldevelopment, economics, public administration, etc.
·FluencyinFrench,Spanish,Russian,orArabicdesirablebutnotrequired.
