 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Registered Architect, NCARB certified preferred.
  • 10 years of experience as a Technical Architect, with a strong understanding of design principles, building systems and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT software, with demonstrated experience in creating and managing an architectural model.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including but not limited to Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Cost Estimating.
  • Experience in the following sectors: Healthcare, Hospitality, Senior Living, Municipal, Multi-family, Education.
  • General Contracting knowledge a plus, but not required.

 Job Essentials

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintain regular communication to address concerns and manage expectations. Cultivate strong client relationships by providing exceptional customer service. 
  • Maintain professional certifications, licensure, and continuing educational requirements. 
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, consultant, and contractors. Provide leadership and direction to support team members throughout the project.

Technical Expertise:

  • Conduct technical investigations of buildings, structures, and construction sites to determine the cause of failures or defects. 
  • Analyze architectural designs, construction documents, building codes, and industry standards to assess compliance and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, findings and expert opinions detailing recommendations for remediation or repair. 
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture, building science and construction. 
  • Represent the firm in professional organizations, industry conferences and networking events to promote expertise. 

Project Planning:

  • Define the project objectives, requirements, and constraints.
  • Develop proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, schedules and budgets as defined by the project objectives. 
  • Collaborate with team members to set up project in the Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system according to GHP standards. 

Architectural Project Management:

  • Lead architectural design process through phases of work. Ensure that design solutions meet the client needs, aesthetic goals, functional requirements and comply with building codes and regulations. 
  • Coordinate with consulting engineers to ensure design solutions and engineered solutions are not in conflict and meet the project objectives. 
  • Monitor project schedules and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely release of project deliverables. 
  • Lead or collaborate with stakeholders to secure all necessary permits from authorities having jurisdictions. Ensure that design solution meets all regulatory requirements. 
  • Lead or collaborate with contractors to assist in bid coordination, contractor selection, contract administration, value engineering processes, and other required activities during construction administration. Monitor construction processes and resolve issues in the field to ensure that the construction follows design intent and project goals.
  • Maintain accurate data, project documentation, including meeting minutes, change orders, construction administration records and other required documentation. Prepare progress reports and presentation for clients and teams. 
  • Implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) process throughout the project to ensure that projects meeting GHP standards of excellence. Conduct routine reviews to address design deficiencies, potential errors, and discrepancies. 

Project Administration:

  • Responsible for project budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Implement cost saving measures, negotiate contracts, and track project budgets to maximize profitability and minimize risks. 
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to have project success. Anticipate and address challenges, conflicts, and obstacles during the design and construction phase. Report all potential issues to Risk Manager and Director of Operations.

  • Technical Architectural Knowledge - Ability to translate architectural concepts and requirements into technical solutions and design specifications. Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, industry standards and regulations. 
  • Effective Communication – Clear concise communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Interpersonal Skills - Ability to demonstrate empathy in engaging with team members and clients.
  • Time and Stress Management – Strong organizational and prioritization skills to effectively meet deadlines. 

Position Summary 

The Senior Project Manager, Technical Architect, will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery for complex technical projects. The role requires a strong background in project management, and technical expertise in a variety of building types.
