Donna Klein Jewish Academy is Hiring a Middle School Math Teacher Near Boca Raton, FL

The Donna Klein Jewish Academy Middle School is seeking a dedicated, innovative, and qualified full-time Middle School Math Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for a person who is passionate about teaching middle school math including Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. Experience in teaching math remediation and math enrichment is recommended.

Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and reflective teacher who thrives on engaging middle school students both inside and outside the classroom, within the context of a Jewish Community Day School. They should demonstrate enthusiasm for adopting and adapting new curricula and methodologies.

In addition to subject-specific responsibilities, all Middle School teachers serve as advisors and leaders within the advisory program. They may also teach electives, lead clubs, or organize special programs that enrich the school community.. Collaboration and shared responsibility among faculty contribute to fostering a safe, nurturing, and supportive school environment.

Qualified applicants must:

  • Possess a relevant undergraduate / graduate degree(s) from an accredited educational institution
  • Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development in teaching & learning
  • Utilize existing and emerging educational technologies to enhance instruction
  • Effectively support students of varying abilities
  • Exhibit a collaborative mindset and maintain a positive attitude within the teaching environment.
  • Employ a combination of formal instruction and experiential learning strategies in the classroom.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Teaching a range of courses including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Experience teaching math remediation or math enrichment is recommended.
  • Involvement in additional roles, which may include serving as a grade level advisor, a club facilitator, and a STEM elective course.
