Donna Klein Jewish Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and qualified full-time Judaic Studies teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and reflective teacher who loves working with elementary aged students both in and out of the classroom and has a strong passion and knowledge of Judaic Studies. The candidate will have a deep appreciation for diverse learning styles and levels and will be excited about developing new curricula within a Jewish Community Day School setting.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, members of the faculty are also involved in working on a team to create grade level appropriate programming as well as using Responsive Classroom and implement the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Students which are programs we use in school. We offer training to those faculty members who have not used these programs in prior school settings.
Qualified applicants must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in education from an accredited educational institution and be able to provide transcripts; demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development in the teaching/learning process; be comfortable with the existing technology of the school and expected future enhancements to support instruction; be comfortable working with students of various abilities; bring a positive attitude to the teaching environment and be a team-player among the faculty; and use both formal and experiential teaching strategies within the classroom as ways to monitor student growth and set goals.
