Job Title: Manager of Business Development, Energy Services and Advanced Metering

Department: Finance & Accounting

Description of Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee the meter field activities of the cooperative including disconnections, reconnections, field collections, meter testing (single, three phase, and CT), field service inspections, unauthorized use of electricity investigations, meter transfers, and non-responsive meters.
• Develop and maintain successful relationships with commercial and industrial members as well as economic development agencies and other organizations designed to promote industrial development within the service territory.
• Plan and control the cooperative's Distributed Generation Interconnection Program along with the assistance of the cooperative's power supplier, the BEMC Engineering Department, and various contractors required for these installations.
• Plan and control the cooperatives energy efficiency program and Generlink Program including residential energy audits, member-focused energy conservation programs, energy conservation rebate programs, and monitoring the latest energy conservation technology.
• Manage the meter activity, energy audit, and member solar installation processes of the cooperative.
• Participate in various civic organizations, community projects, and industry work groups directed toward community development and energy management.
• Develops and maintains good communication and teamwork within the department by holding regular meetings and jointly setting goals for improved productivity and service to members.
• Develops annual work plan for department, setting goals for improvement in meeting objectives.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree, in Marketing, Business Management, Public Relations, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Four years progressive experience in marketing, management, or engineering. Management experience relating to the electric industry is preferred. Certification from NRECA as a Certified Key Account Executive is preferred. Experience in electric usage and load management philosophies.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of energy efficiency, commercial and industrial practices and rates.
• Leadership skills is a must.
• Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Working Conditions:
• Office/Field environment.
• Occasional weekend work and some overnight and/or out-of-state travel is required.
