JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Vertical Market Development Rep is responsible for marketing and selling our services by actively seeking out and engaging prospective clients. The Vertical Market Development Rep will deliver and book a qualified number of meetings weekly/monthly and prospect high quality leads to a targeted ideal customer. To accomplish this, the Vertical Market Development Rep is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies including lead generation, outbound phone calls to set meetings, messaging, and email campaigns.
Essential Functions

  1. Learns and maintains knowledge of products, pricing, company contacts, and sales guidelines.
  2. Establishes, develops, and maintains positive business and prospect relationships.
  3. Reaches and exceeds assigned sales goals (i.e. activity and quota) within required schedule.
  4. Attends in office call days and completes appropriate activities
  5. Schedules appointments with key decision makers.
  6. Presents information about Company products to potential clients.
  7. Completes and updates accurate information related to business profiles.
  8. Prospects by identifying specific client needs.
  9. Leads prospects through top of funnel activities (lead generating).
  10. Attends weekly Sales Team Meetings and meets with supervisor regularly.
  11. Professionally services clients/prospective clients and collaborates with other representatives and departments
  12. Stays up-to-date on industry changes
  13. Other job duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners. Additionally, this role routinely requires the employee to drive to various client and prospective client locations.
Physical Demands/Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is in a stationary position operating computer and other office equipment. The employee additionally will stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will regularly drive to various client and prospective client locations or other meeting locations. The employee will occasionally be required to carry, lift, and move up to 10 pounds.
The employee in this position will frequently communicate with employees, clients, and prospective clients, and must be able to do so clearly, effectively, and professionally.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position depending upon availability. Days of work are Monday through Friday, and the employee is required to work an approved schedule that falls within the Company business hours of 8am-6pm. Out of town travel is occasionally required.
Required Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  3. High understanding of and ability to develop proficiency in Company software and all other applicable software programs.
  4. Highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and accountable.
  5. Results-driven and competitive
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and activities with strict time sensitive deadlines.
  8. Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
  9. Previous sales experience a plus.
  10. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
