Job and Ideal Candidate:

• We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our clinical team. Our diverse team includes:
• Team members who are applying to PA school or medical school
• Graduates from Colorado College, UCCS, UC Boulder, and elsewhere
• Runners, rock climbers, book worms, musicians, introverts, and extroverts

• If you are preparing for PA or medical school, you will gain clinical experience working in a fast paced environment. 
• Typical candidates have a high GPA, active involvement on campus or in the community, and are bound for grad school.
• We don’t require prior experience. We do require an unwavering commitment to excellence. We need a promise from you to push yourself to become the very best. We’ll train you and help you get there.
• Our scribes and Medical Assistants at Vanguard have a high degree of responsibility. Our team cares for patients from the beginning to the end of each visit, taking care of everything from intake, to assisting the medical provider, to documenting visits, to handling labs and prescriptions. Our top MAs take on additional responsibilities across the practice.
• If you are part of our pre-health program, you will also receive guidance and mentoring as you apply for grad school.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree completed at accredited 4-year university, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience a plus.
• Alignment with the values and mission of Vanguard Skin Specialists.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with business hours Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays. You will work across multiple offices (Colorado Springs, Canon City, Woodland Park, and Pueblo)

Reviews:

Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first check in with HR will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire. Written annual reviews take place each fall. For individuals with less than 6 months of tenure by fall review but greater than 6 months tenure at spring review, then the initial review will take place in the spring review. You will receive training for your role, and you will be expected to take Vanguard courses and/or quizzes to remain employed and progress.

The practice promotes from within, which provides opportunity for growth and advancement.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation is $20-23/hour with eligibility for overtime and paid time off. You will be eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as a graduate school application stipend and 401k.

Physical Working Conditions:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds
• Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax
• Be able to communicate accurately, effectively and frequently
• Can identify color on the computer and software used
