• Graduates from Colorado College, UCCS, UC Boulder, CSU Pueblo and elsewhere

• If you are preparing for PA or medical school, you will gain clinical experience working in a fast paced environment.
• Typical candidates have a high GPA, active involvement on campus or in the community, and are bound for grad school.

• Our scribes and Medical Assistants at Vanguard have a high degree of responsibility. Our team cares for patients from the beginning to the end of each visit, taking care of everything from intake, to assisting the medical provider, to documenting visits, to handling labs and prescriptions. Our top MAs take on additional responsibilities across the practice.
• If you are part of our pre-health program, you will also receive guidance and mentoring as you apply for grad school.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree completed at accredited 4-year university, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience a plus.
• Alignment with the values and mission of Vanguard Skin Specialists.

Schedule: 

This is a full-time position with business hours Monday to Friday. We work across multiple offices. This position is based in Pueblo.

Reviews: 

Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first informal review will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire, after that you will be included in the next of our upcoming semi-annual spring or fall review cycles for your formal reviews. This will be your first compensation review, and thereafter your compensation reviews will occur in that cycle (fall or spring) annually. You will receive hands-on, written, and online training for your role. Medical Scribes are expected to pass exams relevant to their role to remain employed and to progress. You will be brought on initially as a medical scribe, and you will undergo training over your first 6 months of employment. After passing your online certification provided by Vanguard, you will gain the title of Medical Assistant (MA).The practice promotes from within, which provides opportunity for growth and advancement. 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Compensation is $20-23 per hour with eligibility for overtime and paid time off. The practice covers a portion of the premium for medical benefits and also offers vision, dental, and 401K. The position also comes with Paid Time Off, Graduate School Stipend, bereavement pay, Paid Maternity & Bonding Leave, ACDT Certification Stipend, Employee Discounts on products and aesthetic services. 

Physical Working Conditions:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds
• Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax
• Be able to communicate accurately, effectively and frequently
• Can identify color on the computer and software used
