Our restaurant is looking for one kitchen manager/ head chef to join our 10 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable and a go getter.

Responsibilities

  • Manage back of the house employees
  • Track food cost
  • Keep track of inventory
  • Create new dishes/ bring new ideas
  • Supervise food prep cooking methods
  • Store food products in compliance with safety standards
  • Complying with sanitation and safety practices in the kitchen
  • Price menu collaboration with restaurant manager
  • Keep weekly and monthly costs report
  • Order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a head chef, kitchen manager or restaurant manager
  • At least 2 years with experience in a similar role
  • Hands on experience with menu planning and ordering ingredients
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast pace environment
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
  • Be able to work in standing position for long hours
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift 25 pounds.
