EnSafe is accepting applications for a Health & Safety (H&S) Specialist based out of EnSafe's Hartford, CT office.

What You Will Be Doing:

• The person hired for this position will primarily perform health & safety (H&S) consulting services including industrial hygiene (air contaminant, noise, etc.) surveys in various industries (e.g., aerospace, manufacturing, and pulp and paper); indoor air quality surveys; health and safety written program development, safety risk assessments; safety training, and other similar services
• Analyze data, prepare data tables, reporting, and figures
• Contribute to written technical reports
• Travel throughout the continental US may be required to perform project work, depending on client/project needs. Overnight travel is typically on weekdays only.
• Other duties as assigned
• Opportunities may be available for environmental work such as stormwater, groundwater, soil, waste, and other sampling and support services. Related experience is a plus Qualifications:
• BA or BS Degree in Occupational Health or environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related scientific field is required
• 3-5 years of experience working in the EHS field. EHS consulting experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Industrial Hygiene experience preferred
• Lock out Tag out, confined space, job safety analysis, personal protective equipment is required
• Construction safety experience is a preferred
• Environmental compliance experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong work ethic
• Strong work ethic, responsible, and dependable
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
• This position requires analytical thinking, initiative, and accountability
• Professional certifications are encouraged to be pursued
