 What We Are Looking For

As a Civil Design Engineer, you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations. 

What You Will Be Doing:  

• Lead the engineering and design effort for site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility design projects. 
• Projects include civil design, solid waste management/landfill design, impoundments, and roadway plans and profiles.
• Problem-solving across multi-disciplinary teams
• Mentor junior-level staff and provide direction to design teams.
• Participating in and coordinating various design and construction meetings with clients and subcontractors (including Pre-bid meetings)
• Planning, scheduling, and conducting detailed phases of design work.
• EnSafe is a sell/manage/do organization, so your duties will also include marketing/sales support, project and practice management, and client project involvement where appropriate.

Civil Design Engineer Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Masters preferred)
• A minimum of 7 years of civil design experience, preferably with an Engineering consulting firm.
• Current PE in the respective state or the ability to obtain a PE license.
• Previous experience with civil engineering design capabilities with both municipal and industrial clients. 
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Group management, and mentoring.
• Regional travel is required, national travel for client meetings is likely.
