Restek is Hiring a Customer Service Representative I Near Bellefonte, PA

Restek is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to join an already dynamic Customer Service team. The Customer Service Representative I position will consistently create a positive customer experience by providing 1 service with every transaction. The CSR I will perform all necessary activities required to process customer orders obtained from multiple communication channels. The position also incorporates administrative responsibilities specific to the operation of the customer service department.
Typical job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Handle and process customer quotes, sales orders, and invoices in the appropriate system according to department guidelines.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from distributors and external and internal customers.
  • Adhere to all departmental as well as corporate processes and procedures.
  • Assist the Finance Department upon request.
  • Maintain liaison with other departments for timely and proper order completion.
  • Enter customer contact information and service requests into the appropriate Restek database system per standard operating procedure.
  • Participate in all training sessions and team projects related to Restek product lines and services as required.
  • Follow departmental process for keeping customer service phone lines available for customer requests.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Understand and perform safe handling of materials and maintain the quality of processes within the scope of job responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
  • Degreed level education in a business-related field preferred or equivalent work customer service work experience required
  • At least 1 year of prior customer service experience preferred, specifically experience in a catalog fulfillment center
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Articulate communication skills and appropriate phone etiquette necessary
  • Active listening and relationship building skills along with interpersonal savvy
  • Working knowledge of Window software applications required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment
