SUMMARY
As a Dragline Operator at Kilgore, you will play a crucial role in our aggregates extraction operations. Operating heavy machinery, specifically draglines, you will be responsible for efficiently excavating materials from quarries or other extraction sites. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Dragline Operation: Operate dragline equipment to excavate materials from designated areas within the quarry or extraction site.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Conduct pre-operational inspections of the dragline equipment to identify any safety hazards or maintenance requirements.
Production Targets: Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the dragline equipment, including lubrication, inspection, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Material Handling: Handle and transport excavated materials to designated storage or processing areas using the dragline bucket or other appropriate methods.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
Environmental Stewardship: Operate the dragline equipment in a manner that minimizes environmental impact, following company policies and regulatory requirements.
Training and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices and participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge as a dragline operator.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, operational activities, and production metrics as required by company policies and regulatory agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Experience: Previous experience operating dragline equipment in a similar environment, preferably within the aggregates or mining industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining dragline machinery, including knowledge of controls, systems, and safety features.
