Kilgore Companies is now hiring for an Inside Sales Representative in the Salt Lake City area.

Job Description

This position is an integral part of our sales team, reporting directly to our Vice President of Sales. This team member is responsible for managing multiple sales centers in accordance with company goals and objectives. This role will ensure that the customer experience is at the highest level with communication by phone and email while meeting company standards and expectations. Acting as the liaison to trucking managers and efficiently utilizing trucking assets to increase overall sales and performance. Needing attention to detail, strong computer skills with the ability to learn necessary programs, with previous knowledge and experience in aggregates being a plus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates the sales and deliveries of all products
  • Coordinates the activities of the inside sales staff with the use of planned schedules, regular staff meetings, and standard reporting
  • Coordinates trucking haul rates with sales staff and trucking companies
  • Manages the daily implementation and use of Apex & Viewpoint reporting systems
  • Reviews and reconciles cash sales and tickets daily with scale operators
  • Supervises the availability and utilization of the delivery vehicles
  • Develops a strong team to achieve company goals and objectives and support future growth of the division
  • Follows the company policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere that promotes teamwork
  • Maintains continual compliance with state and federal safety and environmental guidelines
  • Promotes sound community relations by being an active participant in the communities that we serve
  • Maintains clean, neat, efficient working areas inside and outside the offices,
  • Supervises employees at multiple locations
  • Bid List- Enter all upcoming projects to bid log
  • Assist the sales team with any request with quotes, projects, mixes, tax exempt jobs, pricing, gradations, proctors, spec information
  • Answer emails and calls in a timely manner
  • Run any reports throughout the day requested by management
  • Prepare monthly reports by plant for sales manager detailing the following: total volume, top customers, top sales products, ASP, revenue – and variance to budget for all items
  • Send out credit application requests

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of two years of similar industry experience, preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, while remaining organized.
  • Efficient written and oral communication skills, English required.
  • Knowledge of aggregate operations, a plus.
  • Ability to meet and maintain pre-employment physical and drug screening standards.
  • Ability to meet and maintain Motor Vehicle Record requirements based on company guidelines.
  • May be required to travel in the field, and in pit locations – will be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment and follow pit guidelines
