SUMMARY
Supervises activities to facilitate the most efficient and economical use of space for storing and distributing service parts and finished goods. Coordinates the receiving, storing, service parts and finished goods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates the day-to-day activities to ensure that goods are moved, handled, stored safely, and correctly and in accordance with established schedules and inventory lists.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that targets are met.
- Reviews MRP of service parts to maintain inventory levels to meet requirements.
- Issues, reviews open purchase orders to maintain inventory levels.
- Continuously monitors the use of equipment (forklifts, pallets jacked and conveyors) to ensure that safety standards are upheld. •Trains new workers in the organization's operating procedures and standards. •Prepares documentation and maintains files/records as required. May operate material handling equipment, as necessary.
- Keeps parts and stock area neat, organized, and clean.
- High school diploma or GED and five years of warehousing/shipping/receiving experience including a minimum of one year of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with high volumes of materials/finish goods of various sizes. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to provide clear work instructions and manage employee performance.
- Ability to use standard warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack and hand truck)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet demands.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability build strong internal relationships.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Deep Understanding of ERP and MRP system
Non-Manufacturing:
- Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
- Requires standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift boxes/materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers.
- Ability to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively.
