Hoshizaki America, Inc. is Hiring a National Training Manager Near Peachtree, GA

SUMMARY

Manges and creates internal technical training and field service schools for all areas covered by Hoshizaki America. Including the US, Cananda, Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Must monitor and adjust training, programs, and materials to keep up with new models and significant design changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and coordinates training and course development for external service technicians on how to troubleshoot and repair company machinery and equipment.
  • Reviews common malfunctioning systems and components as well as visual inspect techniques for leaks and other malfunctions. Provides solutions on the efficient repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment.
  • Reviews, reads/interprets schematics, printouts and specifications as needed to explain the functionality of electrical circuitry and components.
  • Prepares lesson plans and other relevant training material. Analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions and implements suggestions for improvement.
  • Provides orientation and training on new products and/or major repair issues that impact multiple products or product families.
  • Trains internal Technical Advisors on installation, operation, safety, and/or maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Provides Advisors with feedback from external service technicians that could improve service calls.
  • Create content to be used in various types of media, including video, PPT and LMS •
  • Exercises full management authority, including performance reviews,
  • Provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct report employees which may include some or all the following positions: Technical Advisor, National Service Advisor, Senior Technical Advisor, Warranty CSR and Senior Warranty CSR.
  • Assist National service manager and Director with day to day operation of the department as needed
  • Tasks include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Carries out these responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Technical degree and eight years of advanced technical experience with a broad exposure to a wide variety of mechanical, HVAC and/or refrigeration knowledge.
  • Prior experience performing field service repair work is beneficial.
  • A minimum of two years of leadership experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for electronic circuits.
  • Must demonstrate an expert proficiency in the areas of mechanical, electrical, and system troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS

Non-Manufacturing:

  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Stand and walk intermittently.
  • Maintain balance to prevent falling.
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work platforms.
  • Carry or move materials and equipment weighing up to 51 lbs. Lift objects of various weights in different directions.
  • Hold arms and hands in one position for extended periods of time. . Use hands and fingers to move and assemble small parts.
  • Repetitive motions of body parts.
  • Coordinated use of hands and feet to operate equipment.
  • Intermittent manual labor that includes bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling. .
  • Operate manual and powered hand tools (e.g., rivet and staple guns; drills; drivers).
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and equipment (e.g., lifts, pallet jacks)
  • Operate machinery (e.g., refrigerant charging stations, and hoists).
    Squat and kneel to access materials and equipment in tight or enclosed spaces. . Handle chemicals.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required of the job and work area. PPE includes but is not limited to safety glasses, safety googles, face shields, welding shields, protective welding clothing, safety toed footwear, hearing protection, gloves, aprons, protective sleeves, hard hats, safety harnesses, and respiratory protection.
  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Communicate with others to exchange information.
  • When travel is required, visual acuity to operate motor vehicle in daytime and nighttime.

Requirements:

Great communication skills and people management. Ability to create training content, through multiple platforms, LMS, Video, PowerPoint etc. Teach Technicians technical content as well as training new trainers to train technicians. Extensive training may be required at times and a passport is required.
