Compensation: $60,273.29-$67,799.25 plus excellent benefits including generous employer contributions to medical, dental and vision premiums, and participation in the Oregon PERS retirement system, 180 days work year, (mid-September through mid- June) with summers off! A collaborative, equity-minded leader to serve as Nurse Educator. The Nurse Educator is responsible for creating, assessing, and continuously improving the policies, processes, and practices necessary to: facilitate equitable student learning and success; deliver excellent service; and, accomplish the work of the Nursing department.
Responsibilities will include teaching lecture and theory courses, overseeing both first- and second-year nursing students in clinical environments, assisting in the instruction of basic nursing skills, and engaging in simulation lab activities to deliver an interdisciplinary, competency-based curriculum. This position will utilize a variety of teaching methods and contemporary learning technologies to enhance learning and support student achievement.
The mission of the nursing faculty is to foster a culturally diverse educational setting that embraces best teaching practices in various delivery formats and is inclusive of students from all cultural backgrounds and learning styles.
This role reports directly to the Director of Nursing and Health Occupations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and be driven by a genuine desire to advance the College’s Mission and Priorities. Accordingly, the Nurse Educator will provide excellent service with a focus on closing equity gaps in educational access and attainment, and will work to promote inclusive prosperity throughout the Columbia Gorge region.
