Sal Son Logistics is Hiring a Warehouse Customer Service Rep Near Newark, NJ

About the job
To support the Head of Logistics with the day-to-day management of the warehouse operation, customer order fulfilment functions and associated processes/procedures. To supply elite service, both internally, to all areas of the business. To develop and maintain a clear and scalable logistics strategy to support the growth of company.
Due to our continued growth, Salson Logistics is looking to add to our customer service team.
Experience
  • Build and maintain solid customer relationships by providing superior customer support via email and telephone.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns with speed and professionalism.
  • Perform prompt data entry and requests needed paperwork for loads.
  • Trace and monitor loads/ shipments and communicate any issues to Operations and customer.
  • Set delivery/pickup appointments with customer and dispatch software.
  • Communicate freight needs to planner.
  • Responsible for all customer service-based reports.
Customer Development
  • Communicate with the customers regarding scheduling appointments and problems that arise with pick up or deliver of loads: Ensure the customer is satisfied.
  • Enter customer loads into system; maintain updates communicated by driver managers.
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers.
  • Communicate with driver managers on load requirement.
Education
  • High School/Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Experience (minimum 2 years exp) of Customer Service-related experience:
  • Logistics and Warehousing experience a plus
Knowledge
Knowledge of Transportation Technology Systems (Cargo Manager, TMW, Accellos and Profit Tools)
Ability To
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Physical Demands
  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust.
