In this role you will provide professional and administrative Contract Administration services to NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, VA pursuant to standard concepts, practices, and procedures as described within the Federal Acquisition Regulations for post-award acquisitions. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager and helps the Closeout Team with the procedures to complete all necessary closeout activities per FAR Part 4.804 and the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS). This position operates onsite. There is potential to reduce the onsite requirement to 3 days per week.
Location: This is an onsite position in Hampton, VA, however, there is potential to reduce to 3 days or less onsite per week. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Successful candidate will be assigned to support the Seventh Sense Closeout Team as a part of the NASA Agency-Wide Acquisition Support Services (AWASS) 2.0 program. Tasks may include those closeout activities consistent with the regulatory requirements set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, NASA regulations, and LaRC organizational procedures. Besides closeout activities the successful candidate will maintain the closeout paperfiles accoring to NASA records management procedures.
Required Qualifications: - Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and 4 years of equivalent experience OR a high school diploma and 8 years of equivalent experience
- Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Mid-level procurement experience
- Ability to operate both on-site and telework as part of a team
- In depth working knowledge of one or more federal government writing systems (NASA uses SAP and PPS)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Experience with NASA systems and processes is highly desired
- Professional certification in contracting is highly desired
- Experience in NASA records management is highly desired
- Ability to quickly grasp procurement terms, methodologies, and processes, prepare contract files and associated electronic documentation and create procurement actions (e.g., contract, order, mod) for contract execution
- Knowledge and skill in researching basic acquisition procedures and requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
- The candidate shall have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and through media such as video conferences and teleconferences.
- Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
