The Role:
Entera is searching for an HR Generalist in our Houston office! Reporting to the Sr. Director of People, your role will be crucial in overseeing essential People Operations tasks, including reporting and data analysis, system management, benefits administration, and payroll. As the sole representative of the People team in Houston, you will actively support our employees and play a role in shaping and enriching our company culture. What You'll Do:
People Operations
  • Act as the main point of contact for HR-related matters in the Houston office.
  • Assist in documenting processes and creating a repository of resources and information for employees in one centralized location
  • Manage employment verifications, onboarding/offboarding, and assist with unemployment claims in addition to other duties as needed.
  • Coordinate interviews and other recruitment efforts and ensure a positive candidate experience.
Reporting and Data Management:
  • Prepare HR, payroll, and benefits-related reports/dashboards for management insights and to satisfy compliance requirements
  • Utilize Excel and Google Suite to organize and analyze data effectively.
System Management:
  • Assist in managing HRIS, benefits, and payroll systems.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide training and support to employees on system usage.
Payroll and Benefits
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Administer benefits plans and liaise with benefit brokers and providers for issue resolution.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
Culture Building and Engagement:
  • Aid in fostering a vibrant and inclusive work culture that promotes collaboration, respect, and employee engagement.
  • Organize and facilitate team-building activities, events, and initiatives to enhance employee morale and cohesion.
  • Assist with office upkeep as needed.
You Should Have:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in people operations as an HR Generalist (payroll and benefits experience a plus!).
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite
  • Positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Startup experience preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with employees and partners.
  • Experience with implementing and managing new payroll or HRIS systems is preferred.
