Do you have first-hand experience navigating public child serving agencies and raising a child with mental health or developmental challenges as a parent or primary caregiver? If the answer is yes, a full-time (1.0FTE) is open in the Clinical Services Department for a Parent Support Partner to join the Child/Family Services Team.
The purpose of the Parent Support Partner (PSP) Service is to increase family involvement, voice and engagement within the mental health treatment process and to equip parents with the skills necessary to address the challenges of raising a youth with special needs thus improving outcomes for youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD), including autism, involved with the public mental health system.
The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, current valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle as well as pass all pre-employment screens. First-hand experience navigating public child serving agencies and raising a child with mental health or developmental challenges as a parent or primary caregiver is required.
