SUMMARY
The BSU Manager will be responsible for providing direct support and expertise to the Business Consultant and Talent Engagement teams, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to effectively connect job seekers with employers. Additionally, this role involves maintaining a career office and providing services to employers. The BSU Manager will be a key player in driving success for both job seekers and employers within our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Support: Provide guidance and support to the Business Consultant and Talent Advisor teams, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to fulfill their roles effectively.
2. Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with employers, understanding their workforce needs, and coordinating efforts to connect them with suitable candidates.
3. Resource Management: Oversee the career office, ensuring it is equipped with relevant materials and resources for job seekers and employers.
4. Program Coordination: Collaborate with program managers to align workforce development programs with the needs of local businesses and industries.
5. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of employer interactions, job placements, and program outcomes to track the success of the BSU's efforts.
6. Job Fairs and Events: Plan and coordinate job fairs, hiring events, and other employer engagement activities.
7. Training and Development: Provide training to team members on employer engagement strategies, best practices, and industry trends.
8. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on BSU activities, outcomes, and areas for improvement for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, workforce development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in workforce development, business services, or a related field, with a minimum of two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of the local job market, employer needs, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective team leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting.
- Knowledge of workforce development software and tools is a plus.
