Mostly Remote with occasional trips to the office in Queens, NY
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will provide assistance to a busy and fast-paced HR department including answering multiple phones, filing, drafting and typing correspondences, data entry and maintaining confidential information. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a dynamic and outcome-oriented environment, be able to multi-task, balance multiple priorities, be a team player and work well under pressure. Previous human resources experience and/or college education a plus.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Maintaining employee personnel files and electronic records.
Collecting, sorting and distributing incoming & outgoing mail, daily.
Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of a busy office.
Assist with the new hire and on-boarding paperwork processing.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting
Insure that all supplies, office equipment and forms used are up to date and available for use.
Manage archive databases and files
Perform other tasks as assigned
Assist with special projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
Be self-directed and motivated.
Experience managing remote locations.
HRIS experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or any higher education degree or experience
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
Able to work in open space floor plan
Competent with interacting with others in-person, via phone or in email
