ELSSA is Hiring a Part-time Preschool Floater Teacher Near Orlando, FL

Are you passionate about early childhood education and helping children learn, grow, and develop while working in a fun and rewarding environment? At Courtney’s Little Learners S.T.E.M. Academy, our mission is to create a learning environment where each child is given the opportunity to be innovative by creating an atmosphere of encouragement and critical thinking outside of the box.

This position works part-time shifts Monday-Friday between the operating hours of 6am-6pm. The starting pay rate is $12 per hour. This position is onsite at our center located: 1414 N Pine Hills Road, Orlando FL 32811. 

The Part-Time Floater Teacher plans and implements curriculum, serves as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for children of all ages. You’ll have the chance to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support children’s growth and success. You will have the opportunity to be a leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of children.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with the center’s vision and state and local requirements.
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
  • Supervise children and manage a well-ordered classroom environment that ensures safety, cleanliness, and wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and school functions.
  • Assist in providing an appropriate educational atmosphere that creates a positive learning experience, encourages student participation, and promotes the development of positive self-esteem and confidence.
  • Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring and self-regulation.
  • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Encourage independent feeding and self-help skills.
  • Provide a well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering, eating, and napping.
 

What We Need From You:

  • High school Diploma or degree in Early Education or elated field of study required.
  • Willingness to obtain DCF 45-hour certification 
  • FL DCF Transcript – Please send a PDF copy to aracicot@source2.com. You can retrieve the transcript from https://training01-dcf.myflorida.com/studentsite/admin/signin
  • Must clear full level II DCF background check.
  • At least 1 year of experience in early childhood education
