This is a part-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 3pm-7pm. The starting pay rate is $14 per hour. This role is onsite at our center located: 238 S Amelia Ave, DeLand, FL 32724. 
 
The Building Custodial Maintenance staff ensures the cleanliness, safety and functionality of all property buildings and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a pleasant and hygienic classroom environment. This position reports to the owner/center Director.

What You’ll Do:
• Execute daily cleaning routines including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
• Inspect and sanitize restrooms to ensure they are well-stocked with essential supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Maintain cleanliness of fixtures, floors, and surfaces to promote hygiene and comfort. 
• Collect and dispose of garbage from designated areas in accordance with established procedures. 
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and replacing air filters.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure timely resolution. 
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of accidents or injuries. 
• Promote self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling 
 
What We Need from You:
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred 
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate cleaning equipment 
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully 
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively 
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others 
• Knowledge of basic safety practices and procedures.
