Job Title: Merchandise Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Merchandise Manager to join our team. As a Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising operations and ensuring the successful implementation of visual design concepts. You will play a key role in driving sales and creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Supervise and train a team of merchandisers to ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising standards
- Communicate with vendors to negotiate pricing, place orders, and manage inventory levels
- Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional displays and campaigns
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and make informed merchandising decisions
- Conduct regular store visits to assess visual presentation, cleanliness, and overall store appearance
- Create and maintain schematics for product placement and store layout
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in visual merchandising or retail management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of interior design principles and techniques
- Proficiency in using cash registers and basic math skills for price calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
