Title: Cookie Production
Reports to: Concessions & Exhibits Manager

Overview:
Barksdale’s Cookies are synonymous with the Iowa State Fair and are served at two locations on the Fairgrounds. We are looking for honest, friendly, and hardworking people to produce and serve fresh warm chocolate chip cookies in a fun and fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Concessions and Exhibits Coordinator for various shifts during the Iowa State Fair.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mix cookie dough, operate cookie dough dropper, and bake cookies
• Safely and properly operate commercial mixing, cookie dropping, and baking equipment
• Practice food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Keep work station clean and organized
• Follow precise recipe and instruction, and use proper measurements
• Ensure top standards for quality and consistency of product
• Cleaning and stocking duties determined by supervisor

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be familiar with kitchen utensils and equipment
• Have reliable transportation
• Must practice good personal hygiene
• Must show up on time and in provided uniform
• Provide courteous customer service with a smile
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and be mobile for entire shift
• Must be able to lift equipment and supplies (not exceeding 50 pounds)
• Must be able to take direction and communicate respectfully and effectively
• Must have great attention to detail during production
