Title: Parking Attendant

Reports to: Parking Coordinator

Hours: 5:30 am – 2 pm, 1:30 pm – 10 pm, 9:30 pm - 6:30 am

Overview: The Parking Department is responsible for the safe and effective parking of cars on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. We pride ourselves on good customer service and efficiency. We are looking for hard-working, dependable, and friendly people to assist with directing cars to open spots in our lots.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Check in at assigned time and receive assignment.
• Verify valid vehicle permits for lots patrons are entering.
• Direct patrons to specific parking spots as available.
• Never leave your post unless relieved by another worker or directed by a supervisor.
• Have proper dress, grooming, and appearance.
• Have knowledge and enforce the Iowa State Fair and Parking policies.
• Be responsible and uphold the Iowa State Fair brand and image.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all Fair staff and attendees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 16 years or older.
• Good customer service.
• Ability to stand, bend, and be mobile for the entire duration of your shift.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
• Have reliable transportation.
