SUMMARY

This role is an assistant to the Chef. The Assistant Chef will work closely with the Chef to support various tasks within a residential addiction treatment setting. Their responsibilities will revolve around meal preparation and maintaining a high standard of quality, cleanliness, health, and safety in the kitchen at New Choices Treatment Centers. The Assistant Chef will collaborate with the Chef to oversee the menu and make any necessary adjustments to meet the needs of the residents. They will also assist in upholding operational and organizational standards related to dining and nutrition, while ensuring an ample supply of ingredients is available.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong time management and communication skills
• Skills to plan and execute meals from start to finish
• At least 2 years of culinary experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

• At least 2 years of culinary experience in a residential treatment setting

Schedule:

Wednesday - Friday, 2PM - 7PM
Saturday & Sunday, 8AM - 6PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
