POSITION SUMMARY:

Accounting Specialist

Location: Everett Schedule: 0.6 FTE Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00/hr
Administers and manages accounts payable and accounts receivable for the organization, and performs data entry for all accounting. Assists Director of Finance and CFO with miscellaneous projects including reconciliations of general ledger. Maintains confidentiality of all information as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
AA or equivalent work experience.
Ability to investigate and resolve matters related to business with integrity and tact.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
Demonstrated organizational skills
Ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION:
Founded in 1963, ChildStrive is a growing non-profit agency serving children and families in Snohomish and north King Counties. We are pioneers and respected leaders in providing family-centered parenting support and early intervention services to pregnant women and young children birth through 3 years old.
ChildStrive partners with families to support young children’s success in daily life and in the community.
Our vision is that all children will succeed in school and in life.
We serve our community through four programs:
Early Support serves families with children birth to three years of age who have a developmental delay or identified disability;
Nurse-Family Partnership serves first-time pregnant women through pregnancy and until their child turns two years of age;
Parents as Teachers serve families who are pregnant or have a young child who is living with trauma or chronic hardships, including housing instability or poverty.
Outreach Counseling serves families who are pregnant or have a young child, who are recent immigrants, are low income, homeless or living in shelters, or who are isolated and lack support. We also provide counseling to children with demonstrated social-emotional needs in ECEAP programs, together with their families.
Early Childhood Education Programs include ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) a high-quality preschool and family development program for underserved families in partnership with Snohomish County and the State of Washington and the Casino Road Family Academy Childcare, which supports parents seeking their GED or ESL certificates.
