POSITION SUMMARY:
Speech-Language Pathologist:
  • Program: ESIT
  • Location: Snohomish County
  • Schedule: 1.0 FTE
  • Salary Range: $34.00 - $47.00/hr
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist who is a member of an IFSP team of trans-disciplinary professionals, responsible for providing early support services to families with a child under the age of 3, identified with a delay in their development, in alignment with clinical and ESIT practice standards. A Primary Service Provider model is used to provide support within teams and families. In partnership with a child’s parent or caregiver, a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will use evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to address their child’s needs in the areas of speech-language, cognitive, social-emotional, feeding, and other areas of development. An emphasis is on building caregiver capacity using coaching strategies to help caregivers learn and support their child successfully participate in daily activities and community settings. Services are provided in a setting where children typically spend their time, these include home, daycare or at a community setting within Snohomish County and North King County.
We are looking for team members who will uphold the core practices/principles of ChildStrive, which includes Trauma-Informed Care, Restorative Practice, Intent-Based Leadership, Equity, 2-Generation, Humanity and Reflective Practice. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Must be licensed to practice in Washington State.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric feeding/swallowing preferred or an interest in building clinical competencies in feeding/swallowing.
  • Interest in building capacity in coaching practices and engaging within a primary service provider model.
  • Willingness to provide services in child’s natural environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, teams, and community partners.
  • Follows policies and procedures; complete tasks correctly and on time.
  • Provides quality work; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers and related technology ( ex; EMR’s, Word, Excel, ESIT).
  • Must possess a valid WA State Driver’s License, have a reliable vehicle on the job with a mileage reimbursement.
  • Current First-Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Pass Background check.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required.

We also provide counseling to children with demonstrated social-emotional needs in ECEAP programs, together with their families.
  • Early Childhood Education Programs include ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) a high quality preschool and family development program for underserved families in partnership with Snohomish County and the State of Washington and the Casino Road Family Academy Childcare, which supports parents .seeking their GED or ESL certificate.
