About Care Crisis Response Services (CCRS):

CCRS is a 24/7 crisis center that provides suicide prevention/intervention, crisis intervention, and professional consultation services, including triaging requests for behavioral health evaluations. We provide brief crisis counseling and assist the community and clients in determining the most appropriate for the current behavioral health crisis. We operate regional and 988 crisis lines throughout the state of Washington. General Function:

This full-time hourly position is the liaison between Behavioral Health and Accounting, helping the Executive Director with all financial matters as needed, with support and training from Accounting Leadership. Tracks budget components of contracts by working with Program Directors and Managers to update Contract Spend-Down spreadsheets. Supports Program Leadership/Management Team with the payroll process and processing timecards via Paycom. This position works closely and cooperatively with the Executive Director, Payroll, and Accounting Leadership (Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.). This position is not responsible for direct supervision but is responsible for working with Program Managers and Supervisors collaboratively to achieve objectives. This position is responsible for following all policies and procedures and ensuring they are being followed and controls are being performed as prescribed by the Controller.

Principal Activities:

  • Work with Executive Director to track the annual budget for behavioral health programs
  • Work with Executive Director to track contract budgets for behavioral health programs
  • Pull expenditure reports as requested from financial system (MIP Abila) and payroll system (Paycom)
  • Update Contract Spend Down spreadsheets
  • Help with monthly invoicing and related reporting
  • Be the department contact for payroll/accounting and attend payroll and accounting meetings
  • Help troubleshoot payroll and timecard issues with employees
  • Ensure all timecards for behavioral health are turned in and approved by both employee and supervisor by the deadline
  • Collect and review Payroll Issue Forms from employees to submit to Payroll
  • Communicate closely with Payroll any changes to employee contracts/labor allocations
  • Maintain thorough and accurate files and documentation following company policy and GAAP
  • Answer any questions the Executive Director has about finances upon request.
  • Other duties as assigned and as directed

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business, or related field with at least one year of financial/budgeting experience
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
  • Experience using Paycom preferred
  • Experience working with governmental contracts preferred
  • Excellent math and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team member with a high degree of reliability, accuracy, and productivity
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly; gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Demonstrate a focus on quality and a creative mind by being accurate and thorough
  • Willingness to take on extra tasks as needed
