As the main point of contact during evening and weekends the Program Coordinator for Harmony House, NCC’s Homeless Transition Center, is pivotal role in managing and coordinating essential programs and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. This position requires a compassionate and organized individual who can oversee programs designed to empower and guide clients toward stable housing and improved life circumstances. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with staff, community partners, and clients to ensure the effective implementation of programs, services, and support systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee evening and weekend operations of the harmony House programs.
  • Maintain and support policies and procedures in alignment with center goals.
  • Create and facilitate programs for residents and families, during evenings and weekends.
  • Identify programs that reflect the need of Harmony House residents.
  • Coordinate case management services to facilitate clients' transition to stable housing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, offering emotional support and guidance.
  • As the main point of contact during evening and weekend hours, establish supportive and positive interaction with clients and families.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local agencies, service providers, and community resources.
  • Collaborate with external organizations to enhance program offerings and access additional resources for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and related documentations.


Experience and Skills:

    • High School diploma, Associates Degree preferred
    • 2-5 Previous experience in program coordination or management, especially in homeless services or related fields.
    • Knowledge of homelessness issues, social services, and resources available to vulnerable populations
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals experiencing homelessness.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, bi-lingual a plus.
