Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Mt. Lebanon

• Start Date: October 21st, 2024
• Hours: Schedule will be known in advance; Tuesday to Thursday, start time between 7 am-10 am and end time between 3 pm-6 pm, 8-hour shifts each day; Guaranteed 24 hours/week | Occasional Monday availability would be appreciated
• Hourly Rate: $25-30
• Children: Newborn
• Pets: A Chiweenie and a Miniature Dachshund
• Paid Vacation: 1 week paid of the familys choice, 1 week paid of the nannys choice, 3-4 paid holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Are you an outgoing infant-experienced nanny who genuinely loves your job, dogs, babies, and sprinkling fun into everything you do? Does having Fridays (plus some Mondays) off make you bubble with delight? This smiley young couple is welcoming their baby this summer and theyre eager to find that special someone they can instantly trust. Both parents work in customer service, and Mom had a nanny while growing up, so this is a family wholl make you feel valued. Tuesdays to Thursdays, your eight-hour shifts will begin between 7 am and 10 am, and enddepending on what time you startedbetween 3 pm and 6 pm. You will need to work some Mondays and youll know the previous week if its required. Get ready to share those mad newborn skills as these first-time parents are excited to learn from your expertise. Youll hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and send the infant off on their voyages to nap land. While the babys awake, youll actively interact with the newborn. Balancing learning and fun, youll engage the little one through a variety of creative activities; youll read stories, play music, and teach letters, shapes, textures, and colors to promote sensory development. Mom and Dad are social butterflies, and youll frequently adventure with the baby on outings to the park, zoo, and community center. This home is clean and well-organized, and youll take as much off these new parents plates as possible with household management assistance being a significant piece of this role. This includes the babys laundry, washing bottles, making sure nursery supplies are stocked, general tidying up, vacuuming, sweeping, and pet care. There are two sweet-as-pie wiener dogs whod love to go on walks with you and the baby. Theyll also need food, water, and bathroom breaks in the backyard. There are no allergies but due to the dogs, grapes and raisins are a no-no in this home. Youll also need to know how to swim, and occasionally drive using your own vehicle. As if the hours werent enticing enough, this role could last for a decade or more as this effervescent young couple is just starting their family.
