Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Shadyside

• Start Date: mid-May
• Hours: Any three days/week of the nanny’s choice, 8 am - 4 pm; Guaranteed 25 hours/week
• Hourly Rate: $24-30
• Children: 1 month old
• Pets: Beagle Mix
• Paid Vacation: One week nanny’s choice, one week family’s choice, 3-4 paid holidays
• Up-to-date Vaccinations Required

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Success setter-uppers, right this way and hold on to your hats because you don’t see this too often!!! Three-day workweeks AND… wait for it… they’re at the nanny’s choice!!! It’s true. These super easygoing new parents need a hand getting acclimated to life with their one-month-old bundle of joy. Dad’s office is offsite while Mom works from home in a hybrid arrangement. As mentioned, you’ll pick which days you’d like to work with shifts that start at 8 am and end around 4 pm. During that time, you’ll eagerly hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and guide this little darling’s naps. The sweet fellow is smiley and curious, and your heart will surely melt tickling his tiny feet as you sing “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” His best buddy is a 10-year-old beagle who’d love a snack (pretty please) around lunch followed by an afternoon walk. While the young fellow sleeps, you’ll assist with various chores like cleaning bottles, restocking the nursery supplies, laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, errands, and light tidying up. There are no allergies, you don’t need to know how to swim or drive anywhere (but it’s considered a bonus if you have your own vehicle), and please be up to date on your vaccines. This is a rewarding and collaborative role that’s scheduled to last for at least the next six months with the potential for longer. What these chill parents want most is a team player whose mission is to welcome them home by setting them up for success. The Ideal Nanny  IS… CONSISTENT! You’re well organized and plan ahead, but you also strike a good balance of flexibility and ability to go with the flow. You operate from a team mentality, are reliable, polished, and personable, and you communicate in a friendly, professional manner. This is a great way to grab some of that highly coveted infant experience because these parents don’t need a nanny who has decades of history caring for babies. What’s most important to them is that you’re a team player who’s nurturing, loving, and kind to their newborn. Requirements and Benefits
