POSITION: Patient Care Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the patient’s positive physical therapy experience before, during and after their treatment and working effectively with clinic staff for a smooth transition between this role and the existing Patient Care Coordinator.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greet patients and check them in
· Develop positive relationships with patients and clinical staff
· Build and maintain a positive working relationship with Patient Care Coordinator
· Take patient payments and document appropriately
· Answer phones in a friendly and courteous manner
· Enter data in an accurate and timely manner
· Schedule client appointments
· Learn and effectively follow various health insurance requirements when scheduling
· Review intake paperwork with new patients and enter appropriate information in system
· Effectively communicate benefits to patients
· Manage the schedule and work through issues with the Patient Care Coordinator
· Solve problems and troubleshoot issues that arise, seeking help when needed
· Perform clinic closing duties each day, ensuring equipment is in the proper place
· Correctly scan and attach all patient information
· Prepare patient paperwork for the next business day
· Maintain effective communication with the entire office team at the company headquarters
· Handle all faxes and mail
· Perform miscellaneous duties as needed, assist clinical staff as directed
· Assist in keeping the clinic clean and organized and properly sanitized, supplies refilled
· Manage linen supply/cleaning/folding
Coverage and support duties (depending on aptitude and skill level) may include but are not limited to:
· Enter referrals following intake procedures
· Promptly obtain benefits and if necessary, authorizations
· Perform any other tasks as requested by the clinic team
· Assist with special projects, as requested
HOURS: 20 hours/week is desired, can be flexible, full time available upon request.
SCHEDULE:
Mondays 1:15-6:30
Tuesdays 1:15-5:45
Wednesdays 12-6:30
Thursdays 1:15-5:45
WAGE: $16/hour
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 22 per week
