TCC Solutions is Hiring a Remote Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the Company. Duties include processing vendor invoices and generating customer invoices in the accounting system. This is a hybrid position; the individual must be able to work at the office one day a week and/or as needed.

Accounts Payable:
  • Ensures that for all PO related invoices have the 3-way match process, matching the PO, receiving approvals, and receiving product/service.
  • Ensures that subcontractors invoices have matched service agreement and approved timesheets.
  • Ensures that all non- PO invoices get timely approvals. Request approval as needed for service-related invoices.
  • Processes and enters all A/P invoices and expense reports into the system, including ensuring correct GL account and Cost center coding.
  • Mail/distribute signed checks including assembling check payment.
  • Maintain master vendor files and obtain proper documentation for new vendor set-ups.
  • Respond vendor queries; reconciling vendor statements, requesting vendors for missing invoices and other vendor requests.
  • Review employee expense reports and ensure receipts are attached and approvals received.
  • Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports.
  • Assists to issue 1099’s annually.
Accounts Receivable:
  • Reconciles accounts payable/ accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Compliance with contract term and condition while preparing customers’ invoices.
  • Generates and sends invoices to customers based on customer agreements and approved timesheets and completes invoices within the 1st week of the month.
  • Tracks customer PO balance.
  • Setting up and maintaining customer portals for billing.
  • Investigates and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating resolution of discrepancies to the appropriate person(s)
  • Follows up aging invoices status.
  • Participates with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
  • Experience within the professional services industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to adjust to change.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related major is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of related experience required.
Location and Work Hours
  • This is a hybrid position; the individual must be able to work at the office one day a week and/or as needed.
  • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8 am to 5 pm.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
